Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

Duties
- You will organize, plan, schedule and prioritize workload and maintain oversight of work accomplishment.
- You will be responsible for all aspects of financial operations within a working capital fund business model.
- You will analyze overhead and direct funded programs including the objectives, policies, work operations, progress, resource estimates and other related aspects.
- You will identify actual or potential problem areas, trends, areas of imbalance and similar factors in the program involved.
- You will prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses and obligations.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of financial regulations and policy related to budget development and execution.
- You will lead, motivate and mentor employees.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
