This position:
RequirementsConditions of Employment
Knowledge of safe and efficient operating techniques of various large equipment and power tools and be able to follow general instructions or read simple drawings to perform tasks requiring significant manual skill.
Education
This position does not have a positive education requirement.
Additional information
Executive Order 12564 requires a Federal workplace free of illegal drugs. According to the Executive Order, all Federal employees are required to remain drug free throughout their employment. Commander, Navy Installations Command is a Drug-Free Federal Workplace. The use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated, and use of or intoxication by illegal drugs will result in penalties up to and including removal from Federal Service.
Non-U.S. Citizens with fewer than three years of recent residential history in the U.S. may be determined ineligible for employment.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.

Duties
This position:
- Loads and unloads materials from ground, pallets, skids, platforms, trucks, lifting devices and transport vehicles manually or with lift gate, wheelbarrow, pallet jack or dolly.
- Operates a variety of power equipment and hand tools as well and maintains inventory of tools, equipment, and ensures that they are in working order.
- May assist in issuing and receiving rental equipment from customers, assist customers in hooking up trailers, loading and unloading of equipment into personal vehicles.
- Observes required safety, sanitation, environmental, hazardous waste disposal, and housekeeping rules and regulations.
RequirementsConditions of Employment
- Must pass all applicable records and background check.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
