Job DescriptionThe Ad Sales Data, Measurement & Insights (DM&I) organization is responsible for collection, standardization, and management of data across NBCUniversal. The DM&I team is responsible for providing data audiences for insights, activation, monetization, measurement and engagement. The DM&I team provides data access and services to both NBCU Advertiser teams and NBCU Brands.
As the Director, Data Partnerships, you will report to the SVP, Data Product & Partnerships within DM&I. You will manage the relationships and contracts of mid-tier vendor partners used by the DM&I team.
You will also partner closely with the broader Ad Sales teams to acquire strategic third-party data and technology vendors based on market demand, advertiser need and the requirements of internal teams. As part of data ownership, the management of data acquisition occurs both through direct data engagements and/or through existing marketplace partners.
Responsibilities- Manage the relationships between NBCU and mid-tier data and technology partners. This role will be the liaison between broader NBCU teams and the vendor/partner. Vendor management includes management of vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with members across DM&I and broader Ad Sales teams to understand which data assets are needed for performance marketing and advertiser fulfillment. This role will seek out current and/or new vendors to acquire these data needs.
- End-to-end contracting management: this role will own the contracting cycle with the vendors in DM&I portfolio. This includes:
- Scoping work with NBCU teams and the vendor
- Management of internal processes such as Privacy Impact Assessments
- Partnering with Legal and Procurement on contracting
- Securing necessary budget requirements
- Achieving internal approvals for deal engagement
- At a regular cadence, reviewing spend and gains from vendors in the role's portfolio to ensure NBCU is in the best agreement for current needs
- When applicable, collaborate with Procurement and business teams to execute RFIs and RFPs
- Negotiating the best possible deal for NBCU, and if applicable, renewing existing agreements
- Work closely with the SVP, Data Product & Partnerships to align on future forward vendor requirements and assessments.
- Provide thought leadership within Ad Sales teams regarding which procured data and/or technical product is available and best applicable for desired applications
- Create executive-level presentation portraying current vendors and solutions with business recommendations
- Engage with new potential vendors to vet out their solution(s)
Qualifications- 5 years of experience in 3rd party data, technology and identity vendors in both the linear and advanced TV advertising ecosystems
- Well-developed knowledge of the digital and advanced TV technology ecosystem; deep experience with leading SSPs, ad servers, onboarders, data providers and data marketplaces
- Outstanding strategy skills; a well-developed understanding of advertiser data demand and usage patterns; knows how to move quickly and seize opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000, Bonus Eligible
