Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Part-Time Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team. The main focus of this role will be to assist in the turnover of units, ensuring they are ready for new residents quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of repair and maintenance skills and a strong commitment to ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Turnover Units: Prepare vacant units for move-in, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, drywall repair, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning, completing inspections and tests, and maintaining logs and records reflecting results.
• Perform maintenance on all security systems, fire alarms, and door locks.
• Adhere to schedule and take assigned on-call duties as directed.
• Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with residents, co-workers, community leaders, owners, management, vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure all residents and staff are treated with respect and dignity.
• Manage relationships, both internally and externally, exercising appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of handyman or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Good mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
• Well-organized and able to work independently.
• Able to coordinate well with others and professionally assist as needed.
• Must have a working knowledge of computer or tablet software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
