NC Department of Adult Correction is Hiring a Correctional Field Training Officer Program Manager Near Wake, NC

Description Of WorkThe Correctional Career Program Manager will serve as a senior manager on the Workforce Management, Office of Employee Engagement team. The position significantly impacts employee retention methods as well as career growth and development opportunities for employees. It involves identifying appropriate goals, objectives, standards, strategies, and technologies. This position will oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information through internal channels and share this information as appropriate with the Director of Employee Engagement. Additionally, this position will directly supervise the Career Coordinators.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Developing and implementing the agency’s employee retention plans and processes, including relevant policies and procedures
  • Planning, coordinating, and directing activities of internal correctional career programs, including but not limited to the Correctional Officer Field Training Program, Veteran’s Apprenticeship, and Bertie High School Cadet Program
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits .

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity.   • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the provisions, objectives, and goals of North Carolina Department of Adult Correction
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and directing a statewide program, including coordinating the work of professional staff
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring alignment with program goals
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem solve
Management Preferences
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public and business administration and an understanding of organizational structures and governmental agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively for reporting, presenting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing assignment requirements

See https://oshr.nc.gov/experience-guide for details.Bachelor' s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in a professional, administrative, consultative or coordinative role within the Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, three of which must have been in a supervisory role (OR) an equivalent combination of education and experience.
