NC Department of Adult Correction is Hiring a HR Technician II Near Wake, NC

The NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) has a wonderful opportunity for a pair of entry-level HR professionals interested in processing organizational management actions inside our state HRIS.
Our Classification and Compensation Team is interested in hiring for two HR Technician II's (60073381 and 60071787) that will be focused on our agency's position settings and initiating HRIS actions regarding positions.
These positions serve as integral members of the Classification and Compensation Team and both require the ability to make decisions, multi-task, and prioritize their work independently to ensure customer satisfaction and confidentiality. These OM HR Technicians will assist the Classification and Compensation (HR) Manager and other team members by providing administrative, scheduling, processing and first level review support.
While Both Positions Will Serve Similarly In Processing Position All Types Of OM Action Requests In The State HRIS (FIORI) Each Position Will Have Certain Breakout Functions, See Below
  • Serves as the primary initiator of position setting changes in the human resources information system, currently FIORI. Position setting changes include those falling under special pay policies requiring NC Office of State Human Resources approval. The position reviews requests for necessary documentation, following up and communicating with the requesters in the field as needed. Position will additionally initiates setting changes in the system and completes follow up actions as necessary to include time evaluation and working with the Office of State Controller and Office of State Human Resources to verify and insert position actions.
  • Serves as a backup for organization management (OM) position actions such as reallocations, position transfers, etc. Position will serve as one of two PeopleAdmin administrator responsible for review and entry of updates, responding to user requests and granting access to the system. Additionally this position will provide administrative support to the Classification and Compensation team via monitoring of the service inbox, file maintenance and generating reports from HRIS.
Other Responsibilities May Include For Both Positions
  • initiating, modifying, tracking, monitoring, and completion of Organization Management Action Requests (OMAR) as a result of an approved reallocation, IRA, study, new position request or other authorized OM Change Request.
  • work with classification analyst, internal budget personnel, division contacts, OSBM approvers, salary administration staff & BSS personnel.
  • access NEOGOV for applications, assist with completion of salary forms and run reports for Employee Salary Analysis, Employee History, Supervisory Relationships, Position Eligibility, Compensation, FLSA & other reports as needed.
  • Serve as office support in mailbox maintenance, backup to the OM Settings Coordinator, file maintenance, supply inventory, providing customer service, and other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
