• Perform a wide range of tasks associated with roadside environmental operations.
• Conduct operations contract inspections, such as shoulder mowing, long-arm mowing, string trimming, litter removal, pesticide and herbicide applications, rest area operations, and other areas.
• Communicate with citizens regarding concerns related to the above contract activities.
• Perform roadside environmental operations tasks, including seeding, mulching, herbicide applications, and landscape maintenance.
• Perform manual labor, such as planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, mulching, pruning, operating hand and power tools, and installing traffic and erosion control devices.

What You Bring

• Landscaping experience in grass mowing, guardrail trimming, tree removal, and plant bed maintenance.
• Experience interacting with contractors and public.
• Computer experience using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
• Ability to safely operate equipment / trucks requiring a commercial drivers license with both manual and automatic transmissions.
• A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker (N) endorsement. ( Don't have it yet? STILL APPLY! You can get it through on on-the-job training program within 360 days of hire).
• Safety toe shoes.

Education & Experience

• High school / GED diploma, and
• 6 years of relevant experience; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
