NCCER is Hiring a Workforce Development Manager Near Alachua, FL

DescriptionThe successful Workforce Development Manager provides expert support for organization’s seeking accreditation through NCCER and will relentlessly and cooperatively seek solutions for their workforce and training challenges and opportunities.
Major Duties
  • Assist with the formulation and execution of growth, sales and marketing strategies for the organization
  • Work cooperatively with Pearson’s sales and marketing team to formulate and execute growth strategies for both organizations and provide an excellent customer service experience to organizations
  • Work through industry and nonprofit associations, governmental agencies, contractors and other NCCER stakeholders to promote the value of industry credentials and lifelong learning for construction craft professionals
  • Collaboratively plan, develop, and implement training and workforce development programs for NCCER incoming and current sponsor network by understanding their specific market, training, and development needs
  • Leverage state, regional and customer data to competently present on workforce issues facing the construction industry
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Assists various NCCER committees as required
  • Collaborates with the Audit Department regarding investigations and accreditation audits
  • Oversee Accreditation and Workforce Development cases to ensure follow up within our Service Level Agreement (SLR)
  • Other duties as assigned; as this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher or 5 years' work experience in related occupation
  • Primary territory focus will be states in the West Coast
  • Workforce development or program development experience in the construction and maintenance industry highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent telephone skills are required
  • The ability to work independently and to work effectively with all levels of executives, management and staff is essential
  • Ability to delegate and monitor activities
  • Must be able to multi-task at the highest level
  • Dependable in attendance and performance
  • This position is eligible for remote work.
  • Travel is required for this position.
Software SkillsSales Force, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proprietary websites (Registry, Online Bookstore, Testing System, Assessment Platform, NCCER Shop, Instructor Resource Center), internet navigation.
