**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse to join our dedicated team for a 2-3 month contract with the possibility of transitioning to part-time or full-time employment. The PACU Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia following fertility treatments and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess their recovery from anesthesia.

- Provide post-operative care and pain management for patients following surgical procedures.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and discharge instructions.

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.

- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.

- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards of practice.

**Qualifications:**

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.

- Minimum of 1 year of PACU or critical care nursing experience.

- BLS and ACLS certification required.

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

- Experience in reproductive medicine or women’s health is a plus, but not required.
