Office Adjuster
Location Department Position Reports To Location : Greensboro, NC Department : Claims Position Reports To : District Claims Manager General Definition
An Office Adjuster (OA) investigates, evaluates, and negotiates settlements of specific categories of claims in an office setting.
OAs working in a Field District Claims Office work both casualty and property claims of a limited size. Office Adjusters in our Medical Claims District Claims Office resolve claims for Medical Payments coverage.
A bachelors degree or comparable work experience is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills are also required.
Must be able to conduct business in a professional manner by telephone or written communication and must be able to deal effectively with the public in stressful situations.
Dependable, responsible person must be able to work independently and as a team member. Maintain CE in compliance with N.
C. Department of Insurance and N.C. Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company requirements. Familiarity with medical / legal terminology is helpful for work in our Medical Claims District Claims Office.
Interest in auto and home repair as well as contract review is helpful for office adjusters working in our Field District Claims Offices.
