NCFC Youth is Hiring a Full Time: Challenge Program Administrator Near Raleigh, NC

The Position: The Challenge Program Administrator is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of their assigned region(s) within the challenge department.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide quality and accurate information related to registration rules and regulations (NCYSA and NCFC/Challenge) to NCFC membership.
  • Provide timely review and processing of player, coach, and association requests.
  • Answer e-mail and phone calls daily. Provide assistance to those families walking into the office.
  • Maintain communications with team managers, AGC’s and other team officials as often as necessary to ensure all pertinent information is distributed appropriately.
  • Prepare and distribute information regarding all registrations each season.
  • Maintain database of all Challenge teams, players and coaches – NCYSA and NCFC.
  • Ensure all team officials complete Risk Management process annually.
  • Monitor registration programs (veteran, tryout and acceptance) and database during registration periods each season and solve problems that arise.
  • Continually check for incomplete registrations and monitor payments. Follow up emails to team managers and families regarding non-payment of fees.
  • Work with Challenge Director on a day to day operations of the NCFC Challenge division making sure they are aware of any member grievances or violation of rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to add essential information to our Challenge Webpage for our membership to have information available 24/7.
  • Assist with team check-in during NCFC hosted tournaments and special events as needed.
  • Make sure teams are prepared for tournaments with appropriate paperwork and in compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Preferred education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Completes Registrar class with NCYSA, NCYSA Risk Management, NCYSA Abuse Training.
  • Participate in continuing education by attending workshops, training sessions and reviewing updates provided by USYS, NCYSA and the State Registrar.
  • Maintain certification status by attending regular classes or seminars as directed by NCYSA.
  • Soccer playing or coaching experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences
  • Basic understanding of youth soccer landscape
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Job Type Requirements:

  • Full-time; salaried position.
  • Typical office hours will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. During peak times of May & June and November & December additional hours may need to be worked.

Work Environment/Travel/Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Most of this person’s job is conducted in the office, but occasionally, work will require this employee to attend outdoor youth sporting events during all seasons, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather, to fulfill job responsibilities and event support
  • Physical demands: bending, sitting, lifting, and event set-up

Background Requirements

  • Requires a background check upon offer, along with continued annual background checks.
