The Estimation Specialist prepares accurate quotes for pricing and builds estimates for the Consulting Services team by gathering information and analyzing documents and job costing. The Estimation Specialist will create proposals and costing using current ERP systems and various tools and will report to the Key Account Services Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Consistently demonstrate superior customer service by combining system knowledge, sales, product, and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations
· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, schematics/drawings, specifications, and related documentation
· Develop estimates for low complexity to high complexity consulting projects that keeps our services competitive and maximizes profit
· Calculate total cost for project including labor, material, time and travel
· Review internal processes to ensure efficiency
· Work together with multiple departments as needed to ensure accurate quotes and lead times
· Follow up with the Sales team on quotations and modify quotes as necessary
· Be in communication with customers at all levels up to C-Suite
· Other duties as assigned.
Travel required approximately 10%; domestic and international.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field and three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in project quoting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Able to work in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing
· Experience quoting consulting services and installation projects $40,000- $1.1million
· Familiarity with financial and project management principles
· Possesses strong numerical skills and has an analytical mindset
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word) with extensive knowledge of Word and Excel
· Familiarity with industrial machinery, robotics, milling, CNC, testing equipment, and/or similar equipment
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Willingness to learn our products and procedures
· Self-motivated, well-organized and team oriented
Desired Qualifications:
· SAP knowledge
· Familiarity with common safety standards such as ANSI, B11.19, and NFPA79
