POSITION: Academic Counselor
LOCATION: NDSCS – Fargo, North Dakota

JOB SUMMARY: The Academic Counselor helps to facilitate students’ career, educational, and personal growth; by providing academic support and guidance for (current/prospective) students and faculty in the areas of academic counseling, registration, student referrals, career counseling, academic standing, and other student issues and related activities. The academic counselor reports to the Director of Student Success and works in collaboration with various staff and faculty to offer support services to students – focusing on students’ success.
NDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College – with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire. Other benefits include basic life insurance, annual and sick leave, retirement plan, tuition waiver, spouse/dependent tuition discount, and employee assistance program. Optional benefits include life, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending account, and supplemental retirement plans.
SALARY: $52,000 - $56,000 commensurate with education and experience

BACKGROUND CHECK: NDSCS requires a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to an official offer of the position.
