POSITION: Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Instructor/Program Coordinator

LOCATION: NDSCS – Fargo/Wahpeton, North Dakota

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 9-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include developing a curriculum for the AMT program courses that meet FAA Part 147 Certification. Additional responsibilities will include developing project timelines with objectives and budget details and supporting requirements with NDSCS and accrediting agencies. The position will also assist in the hiring and training of Aviation Instructors, acquisition of equipment, and preparation of facilities for classroom and laboratory training. Additional duties include student advising, assessment, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional, and college committees and activities.

SALARY: Starting at $57,440 commensurate with education and experience

Required Competencies

  • Hold FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
  • FAA Part 147 Instructor or Administrator
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Able and willing to keep current in the field
  • Willingness to teach online courses, as needed
