Job Summary:

Location: Methodist Physicians Clinic - HealthWest
Address: 16120 W Dodge Road - Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am or 8am - 5pm
Responsible for daily operations, staff, performance improvement, compliance with accreditation standards, budget and quality outcomes. Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned areas and staff. Develop, implement, maintain and enforce departmental programs, policies, procedures and protocols. Ensure and maintain required documentation for compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards and with local, state and federal regulations. Monitor compliance with standards, identify variances or inability to meet established targets and implement action to ensure that targets are met.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of clinical staff.

2. Work closely with the Director- Practice Operations to develop clinic and staff performance goals and objectives.

3. Responsible for the interviewing, selection, and clinic onboarding process of new staff.

4. Supervises and completes performance evaluations and/or corrective action.

5. Responsible for the implementation of company policies.

6. If managing multiple clinic sites, regular site visits for all locations are required.

7. Acts as a liaison for referring physicians, patients and families.

8. Manage clinic internal and external relationships by maintaining a high overall satisfaction rating from providers, leadership, and staff.

9. Serve as the first point of contact for any patient and/or customer complaints. Work to thoroughly investigate and resolve all complaints relating to the operations of the clinic in a timely manner.

10. Continuously review clinic day-to-day operations and work with the Director – Practice Operations to propose and implement new processes/procedures to reduce costs, increase revenue, and/or improve clinic efficiencies, etc.

11. Responsible for maintaining knowledge and processes related to the regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements for all clinic staff. Partner with appropriate department(s) when out of compliance or renewals are needed.

12. Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

13. Responsible for clinic operation financial management including purchasing, expenses, personnel management.

14. Responsible for determining priorities and appropriately allocating resources.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing, healthcare, business administration or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, business administration preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a clinic or healthcare setting required.

  • Minimum of two years of experience to include the following: oversee the work of a group of people, hire, fire, assign work, orient, train, evaluate, discipline, coach/mentor and/or negotiate and interpret conflicts and influence outcomes on matters of significance OR four years of experience to include the majority of the following: serve as a technical expert for a group of employees, regularly model/mentor and train employees on technical skills, make decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues and provide input on performance appraisals and/or disciplinary actions required.

License/Certifications

  • Advanced interpersonal relationship and customer service skills required to effectively communicate with staff, physicians, administrators, patients, visitors and vendors.

  • Able to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents.

  • Able to travel to various locations.

  • Knowledge of possible hazards to patients during treatment and of necessary precautionary measures.

  • Knowledge of advanced management principles.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders & advocate and influence change.

  • Ability to determine and to instruct others in determining the proper length and intensity of individual treatments.

  • Able to deal tactfully and effectively with the physically and mentally disabled patients.

  • Able to maintain adequate work reports and to prepare periodic reports of treatments.

  • Skilled in patient evaluation and application of treatment.

  • Skilled in developing and facilitating presentations.
