Needham Animal Hospital is a progressive multi-doctor practice is seeking a full time or part time experienced veterinary assistant. We are a fast paced hospital committed to practicing the highest quality of medicine and superior client service. We are a small animal practice offering a variety of services including ultrasound, endoscopy, chemotherapy, and advanced surgeries. Job Responsibilities:
Applicant must be a self-motivated team player who values customer service. We are seeking individuals that will enrich a positive work environment with a willingness to work hard on a team and have fun while doing so. We are a busy practice so you must enjoy a fast pace and must be able to switch gears quickly. Some weekends are required. Technical duties include but are not limited to: general patient care, venipuncture and IV catheter placement, monitoring hospitalized patients, client education and exam room assistance. Dependent upon experience, candidates assist in performing dentistry procedures and monitoring anesthesia under the supervision of a veterinarian, processing laboratory samples, utilizing microscopy skills, and much more.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and have reliable independent transportation. We are looking for team members that thrive in a fast paced environment and work well as a member of a team. A positive attitude is a must! Applicants must love animals but also must love their people too :)
