Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Financial Operations, the Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist has responsibility for performing data analysis of staff and student enrollment, demographic, assessment and other data; for preparing and submitting required reports to local, state and federal agencies; and for supporting and training staff on data analysis applications.

Supervision Received:
-Works independently, reporting to Assistant Director of Financial Operations.
Supervision Exercised:
-No direct supervision, although works with a variety of school employees form all organizational levels and departments.
Job Environment:
-Works in typical office environment, with moderate noise and occasional interruptions.
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math/statistics, business/finance, demography or a related field. Two years of prior experience with data analysis and/or reporting required. Prior experience in a Massachusetts public school system working with PowerSchool, and school district data analysis/reporting preferred.
Abilities & Knowledge:
Skills: Skill in data analysis, database management, software and related technology applications. Skill in report-building and/or programming preferred. Skills in data presentation and training.
Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively with others. Ability to multitask. Ability to deliver superior verbal (in-person and telephone) and written communications and customer service. Ability to maintain strong attention to detail and have the capacity to meet frequent and hard deadlines while ensuring accuracy. Ability to prioritize and organize information and processes. Ability to multitask. Ability to maintain strong attention to detail and have the capacity to meet frequent and hard deadlines while ensuring accuracy. Ability to work in a faced-paced, team environment. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to student records.
Knowledge: Knowledge of report-building and computer programming preferred. Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, office and productivity software applications.

Ability to operate a keyboard and calculator at efficient speed and to view computer screens for extended periods of time. Operates motor vehicle. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Work Year:
This position has a work year of 260 days, at 7 hours per day.
Salary Information:
FLSA: Exempt
Proposed Salary Scale: Independent Contract, Grade J: $90,891 - $103,923
