Description

About the Position

As a Senior Electrical Designer in the BESS group, you will be responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams to primarily perform utility-scale solar BESS engineering design in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.

Salary Range: $40.00 - $52.00 / hour

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to perform electrical engineering design for utility-scale BESS projects.
  • Perform detailed design and prepare drawings per project & client requirements.
  • Specify and/or review equipment and components required for BESS electrical systems.
  • Provide support during procurement, construction and commissioning phases of BESS projects.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, codes and best-practices.
  • Conduct technical reviews of BESS projects to ensure quality deliverables are produced.
  • Support BESS team by producing department standards and best-practices.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization.
  • Engaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.
  • Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Must Have

  • Education: Degree in electrical engineering technology or related experience preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of engineering design or other relevant experience.
  • Physical design experience required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems required.
  • Possesses effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings.
  • Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans.
  • Must demonstrate two-way communication to effectively work with internal staff and external clients.
  • A strong written and verbal command of the English language.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of renewable energy, and battery storage systems preferred.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be required

Travel:

Minimal: 0 10%

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift 25lbs.
