Job Title: Business Analyst

SummaryAs a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks and projects aimed at supporting various aspects of financial and operational analysis within the organization. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders across different departments to gather data, analyze trends, and provide valuable insights to drive decision-making processes. This position offers the flexibility of both in-office and remote work, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Essential Job Duties
  • Provide financial analysis and planning for organizational expansion initiatives, financial activities, budget status, and evaluate potential risks/opportunities associated with growth strategies.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of payer contracts (i.e., capitation, value-based pay, pay for performance, etc.), examining trends and performance metrics to optimize revenue generation and cost management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the other departments to analyze and implement value-based care models, focus on maximizing revenue, while providing improved patient outcomes.
  • Project, track, and analyze financial models related to newly added services, providing regular updates on budgetary status, and identifying areas of improvement.
  • In partnership with Revenue Cycle, conduct analysis of Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) and coding practices to optimize reimbursement. Report and monitor organizational revenue capture from HCC coding.
  • Prepare and analyze Medicare cost reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing reimbursement opportunities.
  • Manage Uniform Data System (UDS) financial reporting requirements, collecting and analyzing financial data to support grant funding and program evaluation. Provide financial trending and analysis of the UDS report.
  • Research and create summary of budget vs. actual variance slides for leadership meetings.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Utilize financial modeling techniques to forecast future performance. Conduct variance analysis to support strategic planning, identify potential risks, and opportunities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain accurate job numbers and financial tracking systems, ensuring alignment with budgets and accounting standards.
  • Create and maintain current cash forecasting model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSEducation And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance is required.
  • A minimum of four years’ finance experience is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis software is required.
  • Experience in healthcare and/or non-profit is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow-through on requests until completion.
  • Ability to work under pressure accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables, use of formulas, data sorting & formatting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods of time; occasional bending, kneeling, or stooping may be required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
