340B Coordinator
Job Summary:
The 340B Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the 340B drug pricing program to ensure compliance with federal regulations, optimize cost savings, and manage the operational aspects of the program. This role involves coordinating with various departments, conducting audits, and maintaining accurate records to support the organization's healthcare services. Must be able to work in a Patient Centered Medical Home model. Must facilitate partnerships between patients, physicians and health teams with focus on care coordination and integration of treatment internally and externally. Must work diligently to assure that services are accessible, continuous, comprehensive, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective. Must be committed to eliminating barriers to care that is centered on the needs and convenience of patients above all other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management:
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the 340B drug pricing program.
    • Ensure compliance with HRSA guidelines and federal regulations.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the 340B program.
    • Maintain accurate records of 340B drug transactions and inventory.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure program compliance.
    • Prepare for and coordinate HRSA audits and respond to audit findings.
    • Monitor and report on 340B program metrics and compliance issues.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Collaborate with dispensary, finance, and other departments to ensure program integrity.
    • Serve as the primary contact for all 340B-related inquiries.
    • Provide training and education to staff on 340B program requirements and best practices.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze data to identify opportunities for program improvement and cost savings.
    • Generate reports on 340B program performance and present findings to management.
    • Utilize data management systems to track and report on 340B activities.
  • Vendor and Contract Management:
    • Manage relationships with 340B program vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Negotiate and oversee 340B program contracts and agreements.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payment processing for 340B transactions.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor 340B pricing and reimbursement to ensure financial viability.
    • Work with the finance department to reconcile 340B purchases and savings.
    • Develop and manage the 340B program budget.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. (PharmD or Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy operations, with specific experience in the 340B program.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of 340B program regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification as a 340B Apexus Certified Expert (ACE) is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, data analytics software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standard business hours with potential for occasional evening or weekend work during audits or special projects.
