Neighborhood Health is Hiring a Purchasing Manager Near Nashville, TN
- Develop and Implement Purchasing Strategies:
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies to ensure the best value for the company.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and manage performance through regular assessments.
- Cost Management and Budgeting:
- Work with the CFO to develop and manage the purchasing budget.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their effectiveness.
- Procurement Process Oversight:
- Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and contracts.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and vendor reliability.
- Conduct regular audits of procurement activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and budget management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
- This position typically works in an office environment, with occasional travel required to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
