Neighborhood National Bank is Hiring a Credit Administrator Near Chula Vista, CA

Neighborhood National Bank is hiring. We are looking for a Credit Administrator to join our team. This position reports to the Chief Credit Officer. This position is Full Time-On-Site. $125K/yr - $150K/yr

Job Requirements

Manage Credit Underwriters and Loan Processors, if applicable.

Manage Loan Servicing Department.

Review all credit presentations prior to submission to Senior Management/DLC.

Manage asset-based lines of credit.

Manage the Compliance Tracking.

Manage Problem Loan Underwriting – analyze problem loan customer financial information and provide summary analysis to Chief Credit Officer to be included in PARs.

Field underwriting questions from underwriters/lenders.

Ongoing training of underwriters in financial analysis.

Track workflow of underwriters and loan processors.

Manage Maturing Loans process.

Manage annual reviews for CRE/CRE-SBA.

Manage ongoing review and analysis of all C&I, CRE and C&I loans for ongoing accuracy of risk rating.

Review/Underwrite all requests for Subordinations on commercial loans where bank holds a junior lien on real estate.

Manage Policy and Procedures.

Project Manager for CCO.

Manage tickler reporting; ensure accuracy of information and timely follow-up for updated financial information, insurance, etc.

Review of environmental and appraisal reports on real estate secured loans.

Create Specialized Documentation, as appropriate.

Review non-Bank documents before inclusion in loan documentation.

Field compliance and policy questions from lending staff.

Organize weekly Loan Pipeline meetings, to include maturing loans report, new pipeline status, training, and distribution of new policies/procedures.

Review new loan requests with Lending Staff to determine viability of request and assist in the structure of the credit facility, as needed.

Coordinate with the Loan Officers or any other Bank personnel to complete a customer’s loan request in a timely manner.

Participates in staff sales training and development, as needed.

Responsible for reviewing all loan packages submitted for underwriting for completeness and structure; make credit decision within lending authority.

Responsible for the overview of all servicing actions from submission to closing.

Responsible for all government lending program training and updates.

Maintain effective communication with all staff and CCO to ensure all issues are addressed related to lending job duties.

Responsible for understanding the Office of Comptroller of Currency handbook definitions of Risk Ratings. Provide input in the initial Risk Ratings of loans and during the customer assessment or annual review process. 

Ensure accuracy of relevant Policy and Procedures (P&Ps) and Process Workflows.

Performs all other job duties as assigned.

Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of and adherence to Bank operational policies.

Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of and adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act/Patriot Act/OFAC regulations as they relate to the specific job duties assigned.

Ability to research and analyze financial statements and related information to determine credit worthiness of the request.

Understanding of commercial banking laws and regulations, bank products, services, policies and procedures as well as financial analysis, and principles of commercial and consumer credit.

Advanced loan underwriting skills to the extent that he/she is able to prepare a complete credit memorandum with supporting documentation for any loan request. Experience in underwriting various commercial loan types, including but not limited to real estate loans, commercial term loans, and revolving lines of credit. Experience in government guaranteed loan underwriting a strong plus.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Five years banking or other financial services experience required. Related experience in Compliance, Credit Admin and Lending. Must possess working knowledge of bank operations. 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence for review and understanding by bank management. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software. Basic typing skills to meet production needs of this position.
