OverviewAs a Billing Specialist at Valley Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Revenue Cycle function. You will handle a variety of billing, accounting, and administrative tasks under close supervision. Ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures is key to providing exceptional customer service.
Job Highlights
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
- Competitive starting pay at $18/hour, with rate increases based on experience
- Remote work option after completing in-person training
- Manage processes to address denials, non-response, service errors, authorizations, and eligibility
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients through online portals or phone calls, updating patient accounts as needed
- Accurately document patient demographic information
- Determine the need for pre-authorization and secure it for scheduled procedures via phone, website, or forms
- Receive and post payments from clients
- Reach out to patients and clinical programs for additional insurance details
- Monitor and fulfill daily fax requests
- Communicate insurance updates and other pertinent information to the appropriate teams
- Meet established production goals consistently
