The Audio Video Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of audiovisual systems within our organization. This position involves expertise in setting up and troubleshooting video conferencing, managing Dante music systems, and overseeing digital signage solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, possess strong problem-solving skills, and stay abreast of advancements in audiovisual technology. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering high-quality audiovisual experiences in diverse settings.
Essential Functions(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.)
- Proficient in video conferencing setup and troubleshooting. Will need to setup and remove AV equipment for video conferencing in rooms that don’t have dedicated systems.
- Responsible for configuring and managing Dante music systems.
- Strong knowledge of digital signage design, installation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, including cameras, microphones, and projectors.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality audiovisual experiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work under high-pressure situations and maintain confidentiality.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Audiovisual Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft Office Programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proven experience as an Audio Video Technician or similar role.
- Industry certifications in audiovisual technology (e.g., CTS) are a plus.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful.
