Nemacolin is Hiring a Systems Administrator - IT Near Farmington, PA

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing system engineering, administration and technical support for the entire resort operation - including active directory (AD), MS Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Azure, SAN, VMware, servers, and desktop services. Responsible for managing and optimizing our Windows-based servers and systems to ensure seamless operations and enhance the guest experience. This includes deployment and directory services, monitoring network infrastructure, implementing security measures, managing software deployment and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, you'll provide technical support to end-users, collaborate with vendors, and maintain documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and support future initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Delivers internal and external guest service the Nemacolin way. Goes above and beyond - whether for an associate or guest.
  • Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to other employees and coworkers to provide superior guest service.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day Information Technology operations including but not limited to: Microsoft 365 and Exchange, SharePoint, Azure, SAN, VMware, physical server platforms and desktop devices.
  • Communicates directly and on behalf of the owner, executives, associates, family members and others, on matters related to the owner's interest.
  • Meets all financial goals in accordance with budget.
  • Attends all mandatory meetings within department and resort.
  • Following up with guest concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates independent and advanced decision-making for complex problems by utilizing critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving.
  • Outstanding time-management skills, with proven ability to accomplish numerous tasks and challenging priorities in an effective and timely manner; demonstrated ability to execute on short-term, deadline-driven tasks daily, as well as important long-term projects requiring collaboration from multiple parties.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
  • Reviews resort daily financial reports and responds accordingly by providing instructive
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external contacts and all levels of associates.
  • Provides technical solutions to improve the general operation of the resort IT systems and software products.
  • Responsible for leveraging technology that improves overall client/guest/associate services.
  • Assistants and responds to all guest, group, and associate IT issues and requests; troubleshoots in a responsive manner with attention to follow-up, timeliness, and resolution of issues.
  • Interact and maintain strong relationships with associates, guests, vendors, etc.
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Windows-based servers and systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Administer Active Directory services including user/group management, Group Policy implementation, and security configuration.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity for both guests and internal users.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard data and infrastructure, including patch management, antivirus software, and firewall configuration.
  • Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure business continuity in case of disasters.
  • Manage deployment and updates of hospitality-specific software applications, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge transfer and support future initiatives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues, procure hardware/software, and stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (such as PCI-DSS) related to data security and privacy.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's or four-year degree related to the Information Technology field preferred.
  • At least three years' experience working in the IT field.
  • Hotel/resort experience is a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proven experience as a Windows Systems Administrator in the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure, AWS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry no more than5-50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand continuously for 95% of shift, operateequipment for 15%, kneel for20%, bend for 50%, climb for 35%, and drive for 40% of their scheduled shift.
