Position SummaryClinical Laboratory Technologist I :
- Works under general supervision and is responsible for complex laboratory procedures and handling all types of specimens submitted to the department for processing tasks assigned (Entry Level).
- Works under minimal supervision and consistently and accurately performs either a greater number of multiplex tasks than a Clinical Laboratory Technologist I (Intermediate level).
- The Clinical Laboratory Technologist III works under little or no supervision and consistently and accurately performs either a greater number or more varied amount of complex or difficult tasks and assignments than the work performed by a Clinical Laboratory Technologist II (Experience Level).
- Performs clinical laboratory tests proficiently with supervision and exercises independent judgment in the specialty assigned
- Follows the lab procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintains accurate and complete records of all testing performed on-site
- Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing, prepares for testing and identifies specimen related problems according to established SOP guidelines.
