Neptune Technology Group is Hiring a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift Near Tallassee, AL

Neptune is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Quality Assurance Technician with hands-on experience and excellent attention to detail. This position is responsible for performing important quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards and customer requirements. Associated duties include maintenance and calibration of inspection and measurement equipment, preparation of inspection reports and procedures, and identification of opportunities for quality control improvement. Success in this role requires a strong technical background with a working knowledge of mathematical concepts, keen visual awareness, and the ability to follow procedures while working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed audits of parts and finished products using a variety of gauges and equipment.
  • Perform receiving and first article inspections.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and calibration of gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Conduct gauge R&R studies.
  • Create and execute CMM programs.
  • Audit manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Maintain quality records and systems.
  • Author quality system procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements:

Education: Must have a two-year Technical Degree.

Experience: 1 year minimum in a Quality-related role in a manufacturing environment.

Skills: Requires the use of shop mathematics and various types of adjustable measuring instruments while working with complex GD&T drawings, specifications, charts, and tables. Considerable judgment is needed to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available, making broad decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.
