SUMMARY OF PURPOSE AND GOALS:
The Entry Level Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting our Maintenance 1 & 2 Technicians with tasks in assuring the continual availability of utilities and facility services. The Technician is committed to seeing their Department continually improve the quality of services offered and maintain a high level of resident satisfaction with the physical environment. May assist with fire drills, fire safety training, smoke alarm testing, and fire sprinkler monitoring and help to prepare for emergencies. Will be a point person for the moving and loading of furniture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill

• High school graduate or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.).
• Prefer continuing education in subjects relating to building maintenance and/or construction but not required.
• Current Washington State driver's license is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English.
• Understands and respects Residents' Rights.
• Demonstrates patience; a genuine caring attitude toward the elderly, disabled persons, and children; flexibility; a positive outlook; the ability to focus on the strengths of other people; and a healthy sense of humor.
