Your Daily Tasks Will Include
- Conducting research to improve hydrometallurgical processes in the mining industry, with a primary focus on the research program for leaching. You will execute laboratory experiments, and pilot-scale tests to evaluate results.
- Perform all standard hydrometallurgical analysis and procedures with a focus on leaching activities
- processing ore samples, running column tests, and operating and maintaining lab equipment.
- Providing regular project updates to management, supporting scientists, marketing, sales, and tech service colleagues.
- Bachelor
- s degree in chemistry/metallurgy/mining engineering or other related discipline
- Experience of analytical chemistry
- particularly with AA, ICP-OES, HPLC, LC-MS
- Experience in a research-oriented environment leading to product development
- Individual must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization
- Must be self-directed, self-motivated and be effective at communicating with internal and external customers
