NESCO Resource is Hiring an Electrical Assembler - 1st Shift Near Reynoldsburg, OH

We are hiring for a great company in the Reynoldsburg, Ohio area. They are leaders in optimizing, integrating, automating, and managing the logistical flow of material goods in automotive automation/material handling systems.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: $18- $20/hr. (based on experience)Responsibilities Assembler/Electrical is responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limited to: performing specific manufacturing tasks including mechanical assembly and wiring which is typically of high complexity and/or requires fitting, alignment and adjustment of components, units and assemblies to very close tolerances.
Other Responsibilities
  • Read and understand electrical and mechanical blue prints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Install / attach wires to various components of drive units in accordance with company practices and standards using schematics; verifies correct components, wire color, gauge and schematic when manufacturing
  • Print wire identification labels as per schematic and checks to ensure that wires and identification numbers match schematics
  • Maintain quality standards per company policies / procedures for correct, neat, and orderly wiring; ensures that wire markers are visible and legible
  • Be able to locate all parts and hardware as needed
  • Part inspection before assembly
  • Layout work
  • Assemble product as needed, shimming, grinding, setting dimensions
  • Assemble larger parts to maintain working order and disassemble for shipping as needed
  • Touch up paint, clean up, and get ready for shipping
  • Documents actions of final assemblies by completing production and quality forms
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Properly use personal protective equipment when required
  • Maintain regular attendance have reliable means of transportation
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
QualificationsPrior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/training in relation to the skills listed below is also desirable.
  • Must have advanced mechanical and electrical blueprint reading knowledge
  • Basic computer skills and SAP knowledge preferred
  • Must have knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and transits
  • Some knowledge of welding steel is desirable
  • Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Team player - must be able to work with others
  • Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
  • Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and/or holidays
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting throughout shift
  • Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a typical manufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.
  • Normally clean work environment where the process creates some grinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors, and vibration. Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normal to manufacturing processes with air tools, grinders, and other tools. Yearly audiometric testing is provided by the company to monitor areas for improvement.
  • Non-climate-controlled facility in the summer, each work area is provided with fans to help keep cool. In the winter it is heated.
