- Grounds keeping work (Mowing, landscape work, shoveling snow, spreading ice melt and operating a plow truck as required)
- Maintain heating and cooling system as required, i.e. filter changes and washing condenser coils.
- Change light bulbs as needed.
- Pick up parts by driving around town as required.
- Operate floor sweeper.
- Perform basic plumbing repair and cleaning.
- Perform carpentry work including building and constructing walls, light drywall work, ceiling tile replacement and repairs, interior paint, etc.
- Read repair manuals, tech manuals and electrical schematics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work or be ready to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to analyze and assess all assigned work for safety hazards and maintain safe company practices.
- Must be able to operate a zero-turn lawn mower.
- Must be able to operate a weed eater.
- Ability to operate a skid loader.
- Ability to operate a plow truck.
- Ability to operate floor sweeper.
- Must be able to take direction at the beginning of the shift and work independently and effectively.
- Self-motivated individual to make sure the task at hand is finished and check all repairs to ensure the assigned task is complete.
- Basic plumbing knowledge, i.e. clearing clogged sewer drains if needed.
- Good math and measurement skills.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Skills in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Operating power tools.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle. (pass driving records check through the company)
- Previous facility maintenance or grounds keeper work a plus.
