SUMMARY

To be responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant and equipment. Plant and equipment to include the building, grounds, manufacturing equipment, and vehicles on site. Inspection of the plant and machinery safety systems required. The ability to inspect and troubleshoot various types of manufacturing equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Technical

• Mechanical knowledge
• Fabrication experience, i.e welding and cutting operations
• Basic Hydraulic knowledge
• Basic Electrical knowledge
• Read and understand maintenance and technical manuals.
• Ability to understand mechanical prints and drawings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education, Experience & Professional Registration

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have appropriate education, experience, and professional registrations. Following is a list of required qualifications:

Education and Experience

• High School graduate desirable.
• Trade or technical school training is desirable.
• One year of experience performing or training at a variety of maintenance activities

To hold this position, an individual must have the appropriate company training. Training requirements are dependent on the tasks the employee performs. Supervisors may arrange for additional training if it is deemed to be required. The following is a list of the required training:

Quality Assurance Program

1. ISO-9001 introduction.

2. AAR M-1003

3. Tagging system introduction.

4. Gage control procedures.

Safety

1. Basic Safety Orientation.

2. Fall Protection.*

3. Confined Space Entry.*

4. Personal Protective Equipment.*

5. Lockout/Tagout.*

* - Will be required, based on potential exposures and shift supervisor's discretion, when assignments will result in occasional temporary or full-time field assignments for engineering investigations, inspections, construction liaison, and/or technical assistance.

• The job will require working in a plant that is not heated or cooled. The employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat; and moderate to high noise levels.
