NESCO Resource is Hiring a Manufacturing Department Supervisor Near Elmira, NY
Location: Elmira, NY
Compensation: Salary range between $75,000 - $90,000k based on industry experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviews production reports and time sheets.
- Manage assignment responsibilities for all direct reports
- Oversee production quotas are being met
- Coordinate with plant manager relating to production goals/needs
- Provide new-hire training on department procedures, machine operation and other tasks.
- Trains employees in safe work practices and procedures.
- Execute performance evaluations and provide recommendations based on employee performance and company need
- Coordinate with HR and plant leadership pertaining to disciplinary actions for direct reports when needed.
- Champion a safe work environment for all.
- Interviews, evaluates and recommends candidates for job openings and participates in determining the selection of employees.
- Coordinates production with other shifts and departments.
- Takes on special assignments requiring a level of experience or technical expertise as requested by the Division Manager.
- Management or supervisory experience required
- Manufacturing and machine shop experience required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, will also consider mechanical certifications
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
