Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
Hours: Full-time, 60 hours per week
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our vehicle upfitting operations in Kansas City. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of production workflows. The Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing efficiency, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, and leading a team to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in manufacturing or automotive industries, with a proven track record of operational excellence and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the upfitting facility, ensuring smooth production processes.
- Implement and maintain quality standards to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize workflows and resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Supervise and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and logistics teams to coordinate production schedules and meet delivery deadlines.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production needs.
- Evaluate operational performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee facility maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management regarding operational performance and goals achievement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (5 years) in operations management within manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet production demands.
