Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing and analyzing our broad spectrum ecommerce data inputs, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize our online sales and customer experience. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, ecommerce platforms, and a deep understanding of online consumer behavior.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret ecommerce data from various sources, including website analytics, sales reports, and customer behavior data.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports and dashboards to track and communicate ecommerce performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales trends, customer segmentation, conversion rates, and other ecommerce metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Customer Journey Analysis:
  • Analyze customer behavior data to understand the ecommerce customer journey, including browsing patterns, cart abandonment, and purchase behavior.
  • Identify pain points and areas of improvement in the customer journey and provide recommendations to enhance the online shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize website navigation, product search functionality, and checkout processes.
Conversion Rate Optimization:
  • Partner with digital marketing, recommending A/B testing and multivariate analysis to optimize website design, product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Analyze user experience metrics, such as click-through rates, bounce rates, and time on site, to identify areas for improvement and increase conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns based on customer segmentation and behavior analysis.
Competitive Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze competitor ecommerce strategies, pricing, promotions et al.
  • Identify industry trends and best practices to stay ahead of the competition and recommend strategies to enhance our ecommerce offering.
  • Data-driven Insights and Strategy:
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and product teams, to drive ecommerce growth and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging ecommerce technologies, tools, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-4 years) as an Ecommerce Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on data analysis and ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and their analytics capabilities.
  • Knowledge of online consumer behavior, ecommerce trends, and best practices.
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
