Job Description:

The Associate Human Resources Generalist assists in the efficient and smooth operational functioning of the Human Resources Department. This role provides administrative, training, and clerical support to the human resource function and is responsible for leading & coordinating various projects including assisting with the onsite new hire orientation programs.

The Associate HR Generalist role must also be able to anticipate problems and move toward resolving them in the absence of management, exercising independent judgment and discretion. This role will also be required to communicate specific instructions or requests to various individuals and levels of the organization, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This role works onsite at Nestle Health Science's office in Bohemia, New York - Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST).

Responsibilities:

New Hire Onboarding & Orientation

* Facilitate and complete the I-9 process in person for all NY Campus new hires on day 1 on a weekly basis.
* Prepare for arrival of new hires first day including creating orientation folders and access badges.
* Coordinate and provide assistance to new hire's with their pre boarding paperwork in person.
* Act as a liaison between the Business Groups such as, Learning & Development Team, Security, and IT, etc.
* Ensure proper collection of any documents during new hire onboarding where applicable.
* Assist team in candidate onboarding and background check adjudication where applicable.
* Provide onboarding support for Hiring Events and Walk In Interview days.
* Serve as a point of contact for new hire questions and/or provide guidance on available resources.
HR Administrative Support

* Create, maintain, document, and update HR processes as needed.
* Support HR team during high volume times and on projects where needed.
* Provide support to factory HRBPs related to offboarding (i.e. termination letters, deactivating badges).
* Support employees, contingent workers, and consultants in badge replacements and troubleshooting. When needed, partner with Security.

Additional Responsibilities
* Serve as liaison between employees and management.
* Prepare and maintain reports from SAP Master Data, new-hire, transfer, and termination reports.
* Assist in tracking and follow up with employees regarding I9 Reverifications when needed
* Establish and document processes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology or in a related field required.
* Current or prior HR or relevant internship experience a plus.
* Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
* Thorough understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance Administration, and Worker's Compensation) preferred.
* Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organization, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
* Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks based on the needs of the business and being detail-oriented is required.
* Experience with HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft or System Applications and Products (SAP) preferred.
* Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish languages preferred.
* Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the business (i.e.: local onsite hiring events or manufacturing locations) required.
The approximate pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
