The Label Information Manager (LIM) or LIO Label Information Owner is a cross-functional role for managing the creation and delivery of the Label Information Specification (LIS) to the DEM/Agency and eLabels to the Digital Shelf team. The position is based within Nestle's Center of Marketing Excellence, reporting into the Sr Manager of Packaging Operations.
POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Label Information Manager is management of Label Information Specification (LIS) and eLabel process offshore team(s) to deliver clear, accurate and timely data to the downstream partners as part of all packaging change projects. This team plays a critical role in applying best practices to drive a seamless transition of timely. accurate and compliant data to downstream partners.The candidate for this role must be a strong people leader, as well as a group facilitator, to drive collaboration with cross-functional partners.The LIM has an extended accountability of communicating regularly with partners for the project status of each milestone throughout the product launch. Main business partners include: Marketing, Project Management Organization (PMO), Tech Pack, Design Agency, Artwork and Pre-press teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach and lead a team focused on Label Information Specifications and eLabels, providing guidance and support, and the initiative to remove roadblocks as necessary to ensure the team functions effectively.
  • Evaluate processes and establish best practices, driving effectiveness and efficiency across the team and with internal/external partners; proactively identify opportunities for process and performance optimization, and implement new agile processes, management tools, and solutions across the team where appropriate.
  • Act as a process driver and collaborator, embracing a spirit of partnership with key cross-functional partners, including brand marketing team, Project Management Organization (PMO), Tech Pack, Regulatory, and Artwork and Pre-press teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners who influence the upstream process for product development, labeling content, and visual asset creation to identify opportunities to further advance the accuracy of the data.
  • Consistently track and transparently report on KPIs to key business partners via robust metrics and dashboard tools Partner with global counterparts to inform, leverage and share best practices, and implement tools that ensure global consistency across all businesses.
  • Being a Content Hub Labeling (CHL) Label Champion. A single point of contact for global and regional projects for label information system design and enhancements.
  • Driving business and Label Specification process - empowered to properly assess each project's business objectives and develops the best strategic workflow for efficiency and successful implementation.
  • Tracking and transparently reporting to key business partners on project milestone status via high level dashboard metrics.
  • Initiation of a formal escalation process to address critical issues, project scope changes or roadblocks as appropriate with Packing Operationsteam and key business partners.
  • Assisting in Packaging Operationsstewardship, change management programs / ongoing process communications and training.
  • Supporting Packaging Operationson continuous improvement initiatives: proactively identifying areas for process and performance improvements, elimination of implementation barriers, embraces the idea of trying new processes, new management tools, crafting globally consistent policy across all businesses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or similar industry experience, formal Process Excellence Training, or an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant business experience with increasing responsibility is required, including 5-7 years of formal project management experience in new product development, data management, or labeling artwork.
  • Thorough knowledge of the consumer product industry or relevant experience in adjacent industries is preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive process in complex, interrelated cross-functional new product development and large-scale brand redesign projects is required.
  • Demonstrated strategic business and analytical skills; including understanding of key project management principles in the product development space (Time, Cost, Compliance, Feasibility, Risk Assessment, Design Goals, Problem Solving, Metrics, Formal Alignment) and how to leverage this knowledge to make sound business recommendations in a fluid strategic environment is required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and lead productive discussions without line authority to create alignment of senior cross-functional stakeholders is required.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), strong interpersonal and team facilitation skills are required.
  • Ability to drive a team forward, stay on track and reconfigure and reform project delivery process if significant scope changes are required.
  • Comfortable in facilitating a professional, fact-based, transparent, escalation process when necessary, removing roadblocks and securing project alignment on time as required.
