Opportunity OverviewVIQ Solutions is a leading provider of transcription services to various industries, specializing in assisting Legal and Judicial agencies in their transition to technology-driven workflows. We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings for a 100% remote Independent Contractor role.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a transcriptionist for VIQ Solutions, you will be responsible for transcribing content that includes depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This position requires a keen eye for detail, familiarity with legal terminology, and impeccable grammar. Your role will involve processing audio recordings according to style guides to generate accurate verbatim transcripts.

Required Skills
- Prior experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
- Strong listening skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
- Competence in remote collaboration and Microsoft Word
- Typing accuracy and speed
- Ability to handle sensitive audio/text content with professionalism
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- High-speed internet
- Computer or laptop with Windows 10 system
