Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Mossville, IL
Duration: 12 Months Contract( Possible Extension)
Pay rate: Pay Rate: $40.00- 46 an hour on W2 with Benefits
Job Description:
The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer can make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
The Role will be primarily for developing a replacement for legacy Electrical and Electronic (E&E) components, Providing E&E Technical support for NPI or CPI projects, and Researching and developing the use of new E&E technologies to resolve obsolescence issues.
Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preference would be in computer or electronics engineering.
Related BS or MS projects or internships will be considered if durations are included.
Related Associate’s Degree will be considered with an additional two years’ experience (seven years minimum)
PhD holders would be considered overqualified and will be declined.
5-7 years’ experience required.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Experience with lab equipment – Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Operational Amplifiers.
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) tool/process
- Experience with Failure Mode Effect & Root Cause Analysis (FMEA) process
- Good documentation and presentation skills using MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. (Desired)
- Knowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics technologies
- Experience with Operating Systems: MS Windows 7,8,10, UNIX, Ubuntu
- Canalyzer
