Occupational Health Nurse 3 Sanford, NC Duration: 12 months Daily Schedule: 2 ^nd shift, 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Pay Rate: $40-51/hr.
Position's Contributions to Work Group :
Occupational and worker's compensation experience desired, daily clinical administration and delivery of nursing care in a high volume clinic. Required to travel periodically locally to our other sites. Shift flexibility if day sift nurse is out. Help lead onsite emergency response team. Support local HR and facility leadership team needs. Ensure medical services meet the expectations of the facility leadership team and employees. Conduct Pre hire screens, Drug/BAT (DOT/NON DOT) screens. Conduct OSHA mandated surveillance exam. Need outstanding clinical judgment. Triage skills a must. Occasionally after hours on call. Additional project work that may include production positions reviews and collaboration with safety. Act as a liaison between local facility and Corporate Medical. Must be well organized and work autonomously.
Typical task breakdown:

• Run Pre-hire screens and drug screens
• Assess and treat all work related injuries
• Educate work and non-work related injuries/illnesses
• Will help assist wellness nurse with wellness initiatives throughout the year

Interaction with team :

• Full interaction needed with the team.
• Most tasks are individual; will want to make sure tasks are communicated to team for other shifts

Work environment :

• Office, Production floor at times

Education & Experience Required:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• NC RN License
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in the healthcare field

Technical Skills Required:

• CPR Certified
• COAHC preferred

Soft Skills -Proficient in computer skills. Word, Power point, basic excel experience, Cority and or EMR experience a plus. Outlook.
- Must have good communication skills
- Flexible/willing to help out when needed; team player

Disqualifiers/Red Flags :

• Inconsistency with job history (job hopper)
• Local to the facility (45mins to an hour away max); will consider candidates willing to relocate
