Job Tittle: Purchasing Assistant

Location: Somerset, NJ 08873

Shift: Monday – Friday; 40hours week; 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Pay Rate: $20 - 25/hr

Job Summary:

• Assist in Raw material procurement for Perfumery materials for the two manufacturing sites. Assist in coordinating and scheduling Raw material deliveries to both sites based on plant usage needs. Assist in managing Raw material introductions with the standard sample process.
• Proficient in MS Outlook and Word
• Strong attention to detail, meticulous, operational comprehension, capable of managing a heavy workload and working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle materials/boxes/shipments up to 50 pounds
• Must understand and comply to all safety regulations, guidelines, and procedures
• Must be able to work in an environment with a strong fragrance odor present.
• Buying of goods, materials, and services to meet the Company’s operational requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree desired
• 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical procurement
• Strong background in Inventory control, MRP, Materials Management/Procurement
• Experience with business systems such as SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power point and Outlook)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an environment with a strong fragrance odor present.
