Shifts: Full Time-Full Time-Nights (5p - 1A)
Job Summary:As a Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Education RequirementsAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
Licenses/Certification Requirements:Unencumbered KS RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
BLS from American Heart Association required upon hire (or within 8 weeks. Cannot start orientation on unit without it)
ACLS from American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
ENPC required within 6 months of hire
NIHSS required within 6 months of hire
PALS required within 6 months of hire
TNCC required within 6 months of hire
Experience Requirements:One year RN Emergency Room experience preferred
