Description

This position is responsible for overseeing warehouse shipping/receiving activities, assist with the scheduling of dock personnel and handling customer service inquiries; assist warehouse personnel with delivery, scanner and inventory issues; coordinate workflow to accomplish daily targeted goals. Fills in and performs functional tasks daily when and where necessary. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

• Coordinating and leading shipping/receiving operations with-in areas of responsibility.
• Assist shipping staff with delivery issues such as miss-picks and miss-shipped material along with other quality control issues that may arise.
• Coordinating the resources with-in areas of responsibility (i.e. employees, productivity, freight, and freight carriers) efficiently
• Troubleshoot customer order related problems through to resolution, escalating to Supervisor as necessary.
• Train associates; assist the floor as an associate resource, shrink wrap material/ products; weigh items, print labels etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of dock and yard inventory
• Keep team members posted on progress.
• This position will assist the Home Supervisor in accomplishing overall business objectives

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following.

High School diploma or equivalent, Minimum 3 years related experience, Equipment certification (forklift, reach truck, order picker) and must be proficient using Microsoft Office programs or equivalent software applications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent, Minimum 3 years related experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in English.

SKILLS

Distribution/Warehouse Operations - Must understand Storage, Handling, and Packaging, preservation and Delivery systems and functions.

Interpersonal - The ability to work within the Team environment to accomplish specified goals.
Communication - Able to effectively communicate in a variety of situations to a broad range of internal and external listeners. 

Must be capable of assessing problems, determining root cause, and developing corrective and preventive action.
