Network Architects is Hiring a Systems Administrator Near Kirkland, WA

Job description

We are an IT firm located in the Seattle area and have been in business for over 20yrs, with support in Portland, OR, and Denver, CO. We are rapidly growing and as such we have a need for numerous IT positions, if you have an IT background we are interested in hearing from you!

Our team of professionals is young, energetic, fun, and loves the IT industry. The most important quality we are looking for is a positive attitude along with a fun attitude towards IT. Our business operates as an MSP (Managed Service Provider), which means that we provide and manage IT services for our clients. These services include areas such as monitoring, reporting, maintenance, remote support, hardware upgrades, networking, and more. Because of the unique nature of our clients we are looking for a variety of people to help us assist our clients.

This will be an in-office position, with requirements to visit Client sites, as required. The role will consist of completing Remote Support/Administration for our full client base, and on-site support for Washington and Oregon Clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Windows server infrastructure, including backups, OS/firmware patching, and monitoring performance
  • Deploy Physical Server Hardware
  • Complete Windows Server Migrations from Legacy Systems
  • Maintain network LAN/WAN infrastructures and monitoring performance
  • Maintain AD environment in client networks and on subscribed services
  • Perform day-to-day support activities to maintain client employee systems: Server, desktop, and network access
  • Procure and deploy new software and hardware as needed
  • Maintain software licensing, as well as a license library to track available and used resources
  • Train employees in the use of software and hardware as needed
  • Provide clear and calm support in the event of an emergency
  • Stay current on emerging technology, and be able to provide recommendations for future technology investments
  • Interact with employees to understand the way they perform work, and seek creative ways to improve our workflows with technology
  • Attention to detail and strong ability to detect issues quickly
  • Capacity to work independently or with little supervision
  • Ability to understand management’s business and industry needs, and specialized requests
  • Organizational aptitudes and the capacity to organize workload
  • Strong network analytical and troubleshooting skills with the capability to handle and own critical issues through to resolution

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline such as computer science, computer software/computer systems engineering, computer systems and networks, network security management, etc. and 3 years minimum experience in Enterprise Systems Administration; or 5 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Desired certifications, but not required, CCNA/CWNA/CMNA, MCP, MCSE, A , Network , Security , Azure, or other relevant certs.

-Experience (within a Corporate Environment) with the following vendors desired:

  • Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) Administration
  • Server Migration/Upgrade (In Production Environments)
  • Microsoft 365 (Administration)
  • Microsoft Intune / Autopilot (Deployment/Administration)
  • Azure AD / Entra ID Admininstation
  • Microsoft Azure / Amazon AWS (Deployment/Administration)
  • Windows (10/11) Administration
  • DATTO BCDR
  • SonicWALL (Firewalls)
  • Cisco (Firewalls/Switches/Wireless)
  • Cisco Meraki (Firewalls/Switches/Wireless)
  • Aruba (HPE) (Switches/Wireless)
  • VPN (SonicWALL / Meraki)

REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST be able to travel to Corporate HQ (Kirkland, Washington), as required.
  • Non-restricted Washington driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to maintain punctuality
  • Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule
  • Willingness to continue education/attain Certifications if/when requested
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work on and adjust to multiple client networks in one day
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to utilize ladders
  • Background check required
  • NOTE: Final round of Interviews will be in-person at at Corporate HQ (Kirkland, Washington).
