We have immediate need of a mid-level Manager Consultant to support across multiple engagements for OCM and product development. Our DNA is building custom applications, and as such, we leverage business analysis and organizational change management at our core. We are a trusted partner by our clients to build complicated applications that leverage best-of-breed capabilities in data, AI, ML and mobile, all along a modernized workflow that demonstrates a high degree of automation. As such, what we do is hard. We need an experienced BA and OCM specialist to assist throughout our projects.

As such, this role will operate will some supervision, but will lead without supervision in workshops, highly client-facing roles, and represent the voice of the client throughout all OCM activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • As a management consultant, you will approximately split functions as a BA in building custom products (data, applications, AI/ML) as well as leading OCM engagements in designing a change and communications strategy through monitoring ongoing program delivery and adoption. The split is approximately 75% BA and 25% OCM.
  • Requirements gathering for custom software development. This will include decoupling how the previous activity had been accomplished vs what the business needs to have in place going forward to satisfy business objectives, technical constraints, and human factor design. This will include making use of machine learning, AI processes as well as enabling an optimized workflow.
  • Experience in supporting a change process for a large project or program incorporating a phased deployment and ongoing monitoring of deployment, UAT, feedback cycles, final deployment, and measurement of adoption.
  • As a very capable split between senior BA and Organizational Change Management consultant, you will have the soft skills intuition to understand and empathize with the audience personas, shape the desired message/narrative to persona nuances, and mitigate where necessary.
  • Show the history of converting business stakeholders who were opposed / reluctant towards the product into champions and supportive.
  • Lead workshops in gathering requirements and aligning the business and technical teams around the vision of the application and the process through which we will form key assumptions, test the resulting product, and learn from our incremental implementations.
  • Perform contextual analysis of how functional team members perform tasks today to understand what really needs to be accomplished. This will translate into capturing where we have an assumption of what will be important to them as well as an assumption of how the functionality interaction should work to support adoption.
  • Financial analysis and business case development experience.
  • Develop requirements, defining business rules and communicating with technical counterparts to confirm alignment of technical requirements.
  • Develop structure of features, epics, stories, and review of test cases. Manage backlog and continued alignment communications with development team on accepted customer requirements as documented within backlog.
  • Director / VP level presentation skills and presence. Must be a power user of all MSFT products, very strong written and oral communication. Must be trusted to build presentations and communication with little or no oversight. Must demonstrate maturity to lead clients through a product development process and how to communicate value to executives.

Additional Skills, Competencies & Requirements:

  • 5-7 years' experience functioning as a functional/technical BA. Experience should include agile development of requirements, defining business rules, and communicating with technical counterparts to confirm alignment of technical requirements. Experience includes working within the Agile framework to confirm acceptance criteria of stories within the backlog with the product owner function.
  • 3 years of experience at a leading consulting firm preferred (Accenture, Deloitte, PWC, EY, KPMG CapGemini, Booz Allen Hamilton, Point B, etc.)
  • Power user of current version MSFT products, including PPT, Visio, Word and Excel. Strong user of Lucid Charts.
  • Familiarity with defining business rules regarding data, equations necessary during a transformation, and what data sources and data owners contribute to data rules.
  • Formal education & experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Systems Theory, Queueing Theory, or other preferred. Exposure to ML model development in Azure Studio ML, understanding of how to think about machine learning in terms of how outputs from ML models can support a final experience within an application.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA preferred or requisite degree of professional experience.
  • Ability to travel to clients in and around Houston on occassion
