Premier Medical Associates, a part of NeueHealth, is seeking a Pulmonologist to join our team in the greater Orlando area. The Pulmonologist specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing respiratory and lung conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and other complex pulmonary disorders. This role involves conducting diagnostic tests, performing procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care. The Pulmonologist is committed to advancing patient health through expert clinical care and continuous professional development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pulmonologist job description is intended to point out major responsibilities within the role, but it is not limited to these items.

  • Diagnose and treat respiratory and lung conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and interstitial lung disease.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, CT scans, and bronchoscopy.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle changes, and providing respiratory therapy.
  • Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
  • Provide critical care management for patients with severe respiratory illnesses in the ICU setting.
  • Educate patients on disease management, prevention strategies, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

(Licensures AND Certifications)

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a 3-year residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Completion of a 2–3-year fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in pulmonary disease.
  • State medical licensure for Florida.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a pulmonology practice or hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience in performing and interpreting pulmonary diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Proven experience in managing complex respiratory conditions and providing critical care.
  • Ongoing commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
