Job Title: SONET/DWDM Network Engineer
Location: Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Range: $65-$70/hr
Network Monitoring:
Monitor the Cisco SONET/DWDM network across nine nodes located at McGuire, Ft. Dix, and Lakehurst for faults and equipment failures.
Ensure 100% network operational continuity.
Circuit Cutovers:
Execute cutovers of circuits as identified by the government.
Maintain a cutover log, detailing:
Circuit identification (type and endpoints).
Scheduled and completed cutover dates.
Results of tests conducted during and after activation.
Technical Expertise:
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Cisco SONET/DWDM systems - Proficiency in WAN, MAN, and LAN technologies.
Experience in circuit cutovers, testing, and troubleshooting.
Certifications:
CompTIA Security (SEC ) certification (required).
Compliance with DoD 8570 standards.
