What to Expect:
The Compliance, Quality Assurance and Licensing Coordinator (CQAL Coordinator) reports to the Vice President Clinical & Quality Assurance, Compliance Officer, and has responsibility in the following areas: a) Compliance, b) Quality Assurance, and c) Licensing.
The CQAL Coordinator will support the Vice President Clinical Quality Assurance, Compliance Officer in the overall daily management of the QA function ensuring company compliance in concert with payor requirements, federal law, and internal policies. In addition, the CQAL, under direction and supervision of the VPC&QA, will conduct routine compliance audits of billing records and clinical files, and ensure compliance with internal policies and for management of the Company's healthcare licensing with state and federal authorities, ensuring the Company is in good standing.

What you will do:
  • Managing the Company's healthcare licensing requirements, renewals, and reporting.
  • Coordinating various committees and task forces related to clinical, regulatory, and billing compliance.
  • Developing and assisting in the presentation of company-wide compliance training for clinical, regulatory, and billing topics.
  • Acting as a liaison for the compliance department, collaborating with key departments to confirm policies and procedures are developed and implemented to ensure compliance with applicable contract provisions, rules, and regulations, including the assessment, interpretation, and drafting of policy, procedure, or job aids.
  • Collaborating with clinical and billing departments to create and uphold best practices and provide internal validation and measurement of performance improvement to mitigate risks.
  • Assisting in ongoing clinical quality assurance audits, including reporting and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Assisting in the creation of quality assurance measurement tools leading to updating company-wide key performance indicators that measure compliance related to clinical, regulatory, and billing requirements.
  • Managing document preparation and participating in the internal review for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and state audits.
  • Facilitating scheduling and all communications with state representatives for audits.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health administration, public health/public policy or a related field.
  • Three years of compliance experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to process large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy; ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at any given time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work under deadlines and change priorities on short notice.
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with working across multiple online platforms and applications (multiple email inboxes, Central Reach, etc.).
  • Exhibits an entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of energy, strong work ethic, and an unrelenting hunger to succeed and win.
  • Thinks creatively; seeks out and explores alternative approaches to problem-solving and the identification of potential solutions.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Estimated 10% travel, dependent on need.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, photocopier, filing cabinet, and printer.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
