POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization.
DUTIES
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records and databases.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of vendor and/or client accounts.
- Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Match vendor invoices and purchase orders.
- Prepare and process account adjustments.
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Utilize financial and office software for various accounting functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Prepare reports for management review as needed.
- Works closely with all Neutral Posture departments to ensure accuracy of information, communication, and timely processing. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager within the Neutral Posture organization.
- Problem solves all issues by researching within the database, email exchanges, the internet, and appropriate personnel throughout the company.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal teams to support the needs of the outside sales representatives and customers.
- Maintain an expert level of knowledge of your department, your role, and our ever-evolving product, service offering and internal systems.
- Contributes to team initiatives, including the creation of knowledge, processes, and tools to improve the efficiency and productivity of Neutral Posture.
- Support corporate accounting activities as needed i.e. special projects & duties.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NEUTRAL POSTURE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSET
- Manufacturing/Production experience and/or exposure preferred.
- Possesses attention to detail, flexibility in shifting priorities, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong, professional work ethic.
- Ability to interact with all levels and areas of the company
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Experience with corporate accounting practices is essential.
- Knowledge of general financial software applications (we use Macola).
- Proficient in Windows-based operating/accounting systems and MS Office suite.
- Math skills are sufficient to figure percentages, calculate costs, and calculate computations with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to use 10-key (by touch) and very accurate data entry skills.
- A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.

Regular, Full-Time
Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 1 hour lunch (8 hours/day, Seasonal OT)
In-person role in Bryan, TX-No remote work available
Rate of Pay: Starting $15.00/Hour
