Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Benefits Eligibility: Eligible for standard company benefits package
Minimum Requirements for Candidates*
Education: High school diploma.
Certification: n/a
Work Experience: Prefer one year doing working in a similar role for a busy physician practice.
Setting: Must be able to work in an office setting with office and medical equipment.
Communication: Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
*Candidate/employee/contractor must notify employer if any of these requirements can’t be met.
Essential Functions
1. Provide excellent customer service at all times.
2. Provide teamwork and support for others throughout the office.
3. Operates phone system to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.
4. Greets customers at the front desk with a smile, welcomes them to the practice, and helps them get their visit started.
5. Understands how much each patient is required to pay at the time of their visit, asks the patient to pay the amount, then collects, stores, and reports the payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
6. Perform timely, complete, and accurate work as it relates to each of the following specific job duties:
a. Answers, screens, and routes outside calls.
b. Supplies information to callers and records messages.
c. Schedule office visits as needed.
d. Provides the lab collector with billing and prescription information.
e. Fax all patient visit reports to referring physician, primary care physician and workers compensation (if applicable).
f. Make sure waiting room is clean and stocked.
g. Make sure appropriate information is collected from patient (paperwork, id, insurance cards, etc).
h. Enter all patient information appropriately, accurately, and timely into computer system.
i. Accepts and signs for packages addressed to department. Delivers package(s) to addressee or notifies addressee of package arrival.
j. Keeps lobby area clean and coffee/water filled throughout the day.
k. Assists check-out, authorizations, and procedure scheduler as needed.
7. Provide reports and information as requested by practice management.
8. Other duties as assigned.

1. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
2. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations as it relates to this role, including all safety and health standards.
